Guess A Quote [2.08.16]

Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm [GAQ]I think it’s time for another Guess a Quote. Do you agree? Yes? I thought so! 🙂

Our last quote came from Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm. Apparently I’ve been picking quotes that are too obscure, because no one has been able to guess them! I need help from you guys. When you’re reading and happen across a cool quote that you think others will find memorable, send it my way.

Here is a quote that I think some of you will recognize. Snippets from this book made their way into several of my grammar school readers.

What of the hunting, hunter bold?
Brother, the watch was long and cold.
What of the quarry ye went to kill?
Brother, he crops in the jungle still.
Where is the power that made your pride?
Brother, it ebbs from my flank and side.
Where is the haste that ye hurry by?
Brother, I go to my lair to die!

Happy Guessing!

Hmm, I’m not entirely sure, but this sounds a lot like The Jungle Book by Rudyard Kipling.
