Guess a Quote (5.12.14)

Question MarkHello everyone. As far as I know, there aren’t any new birthday’s to announce this week. I hope you all had a great Mother’s Day and found lots of fun ways to spoil your moms. Did any of you come up with a really great gift or enjoy a special Mother’s Day tradition? My brother and I made Mom breakfast in bed, and we had brunch with extended family.

Last week’s quote came from A Little Princess. And, yes, Becky B., we have used A Little Princess for a previous Guess A Quote. If any of you missed it, there’s a literary analysis of Miss Minchin going on in the comments section. You might want to join in the fun. 😉 And, speaking of comments, Morgan Huneke, starshining4ever, and Becky B. all got it right. And, of course, special thanks to Emily Ruth for coming up with the quote.

Now, here’s the quote for this week. I’m sure most, if not all, of you have either read this book or watched the movie.

Everything from the little house was in the wagon except the beds and tables and chairs. They did not need to take these, because Pa could always make new ones.

Happy Guessing!

It must be Little House on the Prairie….I haven’t read that since I was like 8!! We’ve been watching some of the movies again recently though, and it’s making me want to re-read the series. 🙂

Something from the Laura Ingalls Wilder books? Little House in the Prairie maybe?

Well, it’s Little House on the Prairie… The other books didn’t have such a detailed description of the departures. I love that book series… 😀

  13. It is one of the Little House on the Prairie books, but it has been so long, I do not remember which one. Probably one of the first two.
