Guess a Quote (2.10.14)

Question Mark Did any of you watch the Cyrano de Bergerac movie I posted last week? I really enjoy some scenes, but the overall movie is sad. Which is to be expected from a tragedy I suppose. ๐Ÿ˜›

Last week’s quote came from Pilgrim’s Progress, by John Bunyan. I remember reading once in a history book that early American families often owned only two books, the Bible and Pilgrim’s Progress. Quite a distinguished history. Emily Ruth and starshining4ever both guessed it correctly. Good job you two!

Here’s this week’s quote. Two quotes actually in case you need some help. The book his historical/biblical fiction.

“My loyal friend,” he said, “I would ask something much harder than that. Would you love for me to the end?”

“Riches are not keeping you from the kingdom,” he said. “You must give up your hate.โ€

Happy Guessing!

Hey Leah! I’m back – did ya’ miss me? I didn’t exactly drop off the face of the earth… I was only bungy-jumping, so I sort of dropped off for a while but then sproinged back again ๐Ÿ˜‰

Yup, I’m still nuts; people keep telling me it shows, though I try so hard to hide it… ๐Ÿ˜›

That first one is such a great quote – for some reason, when I read this quote (or others like it), I can almost hear Aslan’s rumbling voice in the background, posing the challenge of warrior-like love…I know, totally wrong story, but you know what I mean, right?

Oh, what’s that you said? I didn’t say what book it’s from yet? Well, you and I both know it’s from “The Bronze Bow”, but I suppose you didn’t necessarily know that I knew… well, now you know ๐Ÿ˜‰

Good to see your smiling face in the sidebar once again! How’s life after graduation going? Write any new books/ did you finish “Counted Worthy”?

P.S. I just realized you might have no clue who I am since I changed my email address… well, I used to use the pen-name “Maiden-in-Waiting” around your blog… recognize me now? ๐Ÿ˜‰

      • Sorry! I did know who you were and fully meant to effervescently welcome you back. Buuuut…we were getting ready to go on vacation and I kind of forgot. Sorry. *hugs*

And I’m still working on Counted Worth. >.< Thoroughly ready to be on to something new.

Aww, thanks. They do say that it’s the thought that counts ๐Ÿ˜‰
Vacations are always fun – soo… where are y’all going? (Good thing I’m not a cat, so my incorragible curiosity isn’t fatal…)

        • XD Texas and Oklahoma. Email me and I’ll send you a link to a private blog so you can see our pictures.

P.S. Why don’t you start something new then? Help out one of our neglected titles perhaps – or is it one of your self-imposed rules to always finish one story before you start another?

        • Self-imposed rule to always finish one story before starting a new one. It’s really the only way to actually finish things.

  3. Um, I’m not sure about this, but I posted my little sister’s guess on the Guess a quote which says, ‘Faithless is he that says farewell when the road darkens.’
Is that one Pilgrim’s Progress? If so, I did not post it after seeing the answer. ๐Ÿ™‚
