Guess a Quote (2.04.14)

Question Mark
Last week’s quote came from Cyrano de Bergerac, an old French tragedy used to illustrate several points in the One Year Adventure Novel curriculum. Dirk was the only one to guess correctly this week. YouTube has a 1950 version of the entire film. The quote is 22min and 50secs into it. 😉

Now for this week’s quote. It comes from a very famous Christian classic.

“But was you not afraid, good sir, when you see him come with his club?”
“It is my duty,” said he, “to distrust mine own ability, that I may have reliance on him that is stronger than all.”

Happy Guessing!

    Pilgrim’s Progress!!!
I can’t believe that I didn’t guess that!!! I love that play!! My favorite is the original French!!!
    “Je vous aime.”
    “Je vous amore!”
    “Je vous adore!”

In English, this translates as, “I love you, I love you, I love you!” Lol

    • Wow. You know enough french to do it in the original French? (I know zero French and I murder the pronunciation when I happen to read a word in a story.)
