Guess a Quote (6.17.13)

Question Mark Hello everyone. I hope you had an enjoyable Father’s Day and managed to spoil your dads. 😉 Hopefully I’ll have time to share a bit more about our Father’s Day with you next week.

In the meantime, last week’s quote came from The Silver Chair, one of C.S. Lewis’s Chronicles of Narnia books. I must admit I was a bit surprised more people didn’t guess. Is The Scarlet Pimpernel seriously more popular than Narnia? Two people did know where the reference came from. Good job to Annie Hawthorn and starshining4ever. (I love Puddleglum too. ;))

And now for this week’s quote. This time you’re being tested on how well you keep up with the self-publishing world. If you want to try to do some detective work, check out the Homeschooled Authors blog. The answer is also hidden in the archives of this blog.

The rain drowned out the sounds of battle. [He] had heard cannon fire that morning, he was sure of it. His mother hoped it was just thunder signaling the oncoming storm, but [he] knew it was battle approaching. The Redcoats were close, and getting closer.

Happy Guessing!
