Guess a Quote (5.22.13)

Question MarkHi there everyone! Boy has life been busy. My grandmother is in the hospital and isn’t doing well, so if any of you think of praying for her and us, we would appreciate it. I also had senior portraits taken on Monday (we never did then for my senior year of high school, so we figured senior year of college would work), and had a friend over all day yesterday. Hence the late post.

So, last week’s quote came from Mad Dog, book two of the Starlight Animal Rescue series. Which also happens to be the book I’m currently giving away. So hop over the the giveaway post and leave a comment to try to win a free copy of the book. Ella knew which book the quote was from. Good job, Ella!

And here’s this week’s quote. Need some help? The book was written by an author who influenced the C.S. Lewis.

A ray of light brightened part of the gutter. [He] pounced upon what he saw there and bounded with his prize towards the sunlight. As he ran, he rubbed his treasure on the little that remained of his ragged trousers.

Happy Guessing!

    • I know I have a rule that I don’t say whether or not you got it right. But I just had to say that I’m glad you used the “for short” title first. ‘Cause I didn’t know the proper one.

  2. At the Back of North Wind? Or something by George MacDonald?
