Guess a Quote (3.18.13)

Question Mark Welcome to this week’s guess a quote game! Last week’s quotes came from A Single Shard, which is a delightful story that won a Newberry medal. Our only guesser last week was Hannah P, who got it right. Great job, Hannah!

Speaking of Newberry’s, this week’s quote is the first line from another Newberry. Hopefully that little hint will help you figure it out. If not, I’ll try to remember to post a second quote on Wednesday.

One morning in mid-April, 1687, the brigantine Dolphin left the open sea, sailed briskly across the Sound to the wide mouth of the Connecticut River and into Saybrook harbor.

Any ideas?
