As Christians, we know that prayer is powerful, but sometimes we forget to apply it to important areas of our life. How often do single girls think to pray for their future husbands? Not just that God would hurry up about bringing them together, but praying for his walk with God. Proverbs 31 talks about a woman who does her husband good all the days of her life–not just the ones she knows him during. It’s time to start praying!
Dad found this book for me at a homeschool conference last year. He knows that I try hard to pray for my future husband (if marriage is God’s plan for me ;)) on a regular basis. This book seemed like a perfect match. I enjoyed reading through the authors’ stories and suggestions for how to pray for one’s future husband. Each chapter ends with a bullet point list of possible things to pray about and a story about a woman who got to see the fruition of her prayers.

I might pick this book up for my daughter. I prayed for my husband for most of my teenage years. Praying for our possible future mate is a good habit for both men and women. 🙂
Yes, it is. I know that I personally need to focus more on my prayer time. It is such an important part of a Christian’s life, and too often passed over.
I love this idea!! I often pray for my future husband (whomever he might be), and it is amazing to think about how I can be a blessing to him before I even know him. 🙂

Yes, it would be an excellent idea to start praying for my future husband – because does he ever have a long list of requirements to meet! *teasing* 😛
Looks like a helpful and thought provoking book…Is it written more like “Before you meet Prince Charming” or like “When God writes your love story”? (in other words, for younger or older?)

I would recommend it for older girls. The writing style works for both (it might even be targeted for younger girls), but some of the examples they use make me slightly uncomfortable recommending it for younger girls.
Dad actually purchased it at the the Great Northeast homeschool conference that came to CT last year, but I think I’ve seen it at MassHOPE before.
This is a silly side-note type question, but what DOES the girl on the front cover have slung over her shoulder? Is that a backpack or something – is she “all packed up and movin’ on out?” A closed parasol (though she doesn’t look like the type of girl that would use a parasol) I’m sheepish but stumped 😉
(Tell me about that other homeschool conference in an email sometime – I’ve heard different opinions about it…)

You know, I’ve been puzzling over that same question ever since Dad gave me the book. I cannot figure it out. My best guess is a sweatshirt or something. We can be stumped together, I guess. Anyone else want to take a stab at figuring out what that thing is?
